Miss Bela has been part of the YBY community for over 10 years and loves building meaningful connections with children and families while creating a warm, strong sense of community. Her long-standing relationships and dedication to YBY help families feel welcomed, supported, and truly at home from the moment they walk through the doors. She brings kindness, consistency, and genuine care into every interaction, helping foster an environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Sandra Castaneda
Operations Manager, Mentor Teacher
Miss Sandra has been with YBY for almost 10 years and loves working with children to help them discover their creative side through hands-on experiences, imaginative play, and open-ended art and learning opportunities. She has a special way of encouraging children to express themselves confidently while creating a joyful and engaging classroom environment. In addition to her work with the children, she is a wonderful mentor to our teachers, always offering guidance, support, and encouragement as they grow in their roles and discover what they love about teaching.

Miss Claudia has been with YBY for 6 years and has a passion for helping her little learners build independence, confidence, and a love for learning. She thoughtfully encourages children to try new things, solve problems, and build important self-help skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Her patient and nurturing approach helps children feel capable and proud of their accomplishments, while also fostering curiosity, resilience, and love for learning. -
Maritza Rodriguez

Miss Maritza has been with YBY for 3 years and uses her background in elementary education to foster a love of learning through play, sensory experiences, and movement. She thoughtfully blends school-readiness skills with hands-on, child-led learning opportunities that keep children engaged, curious, and excited to explore the world around them. Her energetic and encouraging approach helps children build confidence while supporting social, emotional, and cognitive development in a fun meaningful way. -

She is incredibly attentive to each baby’s individual needs and cues, helping create a calm and loving environment for our littlest learners. Her gentle and patient approach helps babies feel safe, comforted, and cared for throughout the day, while also supporting important early developmental milestones through responsive interactions, sensory experiences, and meaningful connection.

She creates a calm presence that encourages children to slow down, listen, and engage more thoughtfully with their environment and peers, while also fostering independence, confidence, and kindness in everyday routines.

She uses her many years of child development experience to bring new ideas and meaningful experiences into the classroom, helping create a rich and engaging learning environment for our children. Miss Yasmin has been with YBY for 3 months. She has extensive experience in early childhood and brings structure and routine to her classroom, helping children feel grounded, secure, and confident in their daily flow. She brings fresh ideas into the learning environment and is intentional about incorporating sensory play, movement activities, and fine motor experiences throughout each day.

Heidi Goldspbel
Judaica Coordinator
Morah Heidi brings over 40 years of experience in both secular and Jewish education to YBY. With a master’s degree in Jewish education and early childhood education, she works closely with our students and teachers as our Judaica coordinator to create meaningful and joyful Jewish learning experiences throughout the school year. Through music, movement, sensory experiences, stories, Hebrew, and hands-on learning, she helps bring Jewish traditions and celebrations to life in a way that is engaging and developmentally appropriate for young children. Her passion for building community and fostering a love of Jewish learning is felt throughout the YBY enrironment.
